Facts You Need To Know About Pet Urine:

Urine in carpeting is a severe problem that requires major restoration work, not just simple cleaning. But now with Colorado Cleaning & Restoration’s pet urine treatment your most severe urine damaged areas can be saved. Our pet urine treatment is a revolutionary product specially formulated to eliminate urine odors. This product has shown excellent results on even the most severe urine damage.

Urine deposited on carpet does not stay on the surface; it penetrates the fibers and contaminates both the backing of the carpet and the flooring material below the carpet. Often, without your knowing, pets will urinate continually in the same general location. Urine odors can permeate from the floor, be it cement or wood, from the tack strip, and even from the framework of the house behind the walls.

As the urine dries, the liquid evaporates but the urine crystals become even more concentrated and pungent. Simple cleaning will not remove this odor. Until recently, there was not a product available that was effective at removing urine odors.

Our pet urine treatment is a mild oxidizing agent that when it comes in contact with the urine, it immediately begins a chemical reaction that destroys the urine odor and in many cases removes the color of the urine stain as well.

How Our Pet Urine Treatment Works

    • The source and severity of the odor are determined.

    • Our pet urine treatment will then be applied to all urine spots heavily enough to penetrate deep in the carpet and pad. It is necessary to apply this product heavily enough to dampen all areas affected by the urine.

    • We allow the product to remain approximately 30 minutes and then extract the excess product from the carpet and pad.

    • We will then clean your carpet as normal.

    • All urine spots that were treated will take at least 24 to 72 hours to dry. Meanwhile as it dries, the ingredients in our pet urine treatment will continue to break down the odor causing components of any remaining urine crystals it has come in contact with. Any areas that were cleaned but not treated with the pet urine treatment will dry typically in 1 to 3 hours.
